1. We are working with a Record / Publishing Company out of LA. They are dancing towards representing Carey for music in Film / Television / Advertising. Chime Entertainment. Michael Fey / former VP Music Disney / Touchtone Films is Head of Music. He's putting us in front of a ton of projects. Carey was in studio last Wed. writing and recording three songs for a new Warner Bros. theatre release.
Check them out : How Would I Know You, Treading Water, Spelling Bee One days work! It's a Weinstein Bros. Production. No guarantees but promising. Recently we have commercials music into Target and Coleman stoves. Ongoing stuff happening. We're in the game which is a good thing.
2. We are going to San Jose to begin recording Carey's next album. Starting May 14.
3. Check out the song "Save My Life." Listed below in Pop / Rock. Chart contender.
4. Carey will do a solo or duo tour sometime July or August. We will be doing a showcase at the Viper Room for Film / TV music supervisors.

These three songs were played exclusively on JCP's branding of their ARIZONA FASHION YOUTH LINE. His music played throughout great vignettes of teenagers having a blast on beaches, playgrounds etc. Slide shows / Pics / Video's. There was a juke box where you could select any of Carey's three songs. We launched the program which is still going the last time I checked it about two mo.'s ago. No doubt a score for us!

In these days of crisis, the human race is learning to take solace in little things. Thus, with no agenda other than to make people feel better, Carey Ott and Gary Taylor wrote Ain’t No Upside (Livin’ On Tha Downside. Performed by Ott in a straightforward, stripped-down style that renders it appealing to young and old alike, the song’s message is simple: cynicism gets you nowhere except miserable. It will be said that this song is 2008’s answer to Bobby McFerrin’s Don’t Worry, Be Happy. Simple as that song was, let us not forget that, at the 1989 Grammy Awards, Don't Worry Be Happy won the awards for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

It probably was inevitable that Ottawa natives and Nashville, Tenn., singer-songwriters Carey Ott and Chris Gelbuda would become friends.
"I used to play Little League in Ottawa with (Chris') big brother Billy," Ott said in an email interview. "I had heard about Chris, that he was writing songs, and then he came to Nashville and emailed me about writing sometime. I responded to his email and we've been writing buddies ever since. He's like a brother."
